Today’s Lesson
Prayer Point -  Students should pray to God to enable them to serve Him until they receive  their rewards. 
    Previous Knowledge -  Teacher reviews the previous week's lesson and marks the workbook. 
    
1. Opening 
    A. BIBLE PASSAGE - I Corinthians 9: 16-27
B. Memory Verse - "And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my name's sake, shall receive a hundred fold, and shall inherit everlasting life." Matthew 19:29
C. Lesson Introduction - The scriptures  say do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain. It also says the  labourer is worthy of his reward. So, God has a reward for all that make it to  the kingdom. We shall one day cross to the other side where we shall have  exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor.4: 17; Ps.37:34; Ps.91:8.

B. Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan
i. At the end of the lesson, students should be able to explain the types of rewards.
ii.  They should also be able to develop desire to receive a good reward at the end. 
    iii.  To achieve the objectives, teacher should explain the lesson outlines and  encourage students to ensure that they enter into rest through holy lives. 
    
C. Text Review - I Corinthians 9: 16-27 
    Some  conditions or requirements to receive rewards (crown of glory) for preaching  the gospel are stated below: 
i. When the preacher does not make profit out of the preaching of the gospel.
ii.  When the preacher becomes the servant of all. Verse 18-19. iii. When the  preacher becomes weak to gain the weak. 
    iv.  When he or she is a Jew to the Jews and Gentile to the Gentiles to gain them. 
v. When the preacher becomes all things to all men that he might save them all.
vi.  When the preacher keeps the body under subjection. vii. When the preacher is  certain and focused. 
    viii.  When he or she is temperate in all things. Verse 24-27 .Such willing preacher  who fulfils these conditions will never be cast away but will surely receive  rewards from God Almighty after the end of this age. Verse 27

E. Time Management - 15 minutes for Opening, 30 minutes for Lesson Outline, Summary, Conclusion and Assignment, 15 minutes for General Review.
2. Lesson Outlines 
    i. LESSON OUTLINE 1 - TYPES OF ETERNAL REWARDS 
    Jesus Christ prepared various types of crowns for  faithful servants. 
    These  crowns are: 
i. Crown of life for faithful servants who endure temptations and overcome evil with good. Rev. 2:10. James 1 :12;
ii. Incorruptible crown for those who  patiently run the race to Heaven and are temperate in all things. I Cor.  9:24-25 
    iii.  Crown of rejoicing for soul winners. I Thess. 2:19 
    iv.  Crown of glory for true Pastors, missionaries and teachers of the word. I Peter  5:4 
v. Crown of righteousness for those who are earnestly expecting the coming of the Lord. 2 Tim 4:8.
ii.  LESSON OUTLINE 2 - OTHER TYPES OF REWARDS Believers will also be  entitled to the following additional rewards:
    i. They will have the right to reign with  Christ. 
    ii.  They will behold His face. 
    iii.  They will inherit all things. iv. They shine like stars. 
    v.  They will be pillars in the temple of God. vi. They will have access to the  tree of life. vii. They will be glorified with Christ. 
    Teacher  should fix the scriptures below to the above stated points. R6mans 8: 17-18;  Rev 21:7; Psalm 17:15; Dan 12:3; Rev. 22:4; Rev. 22:1-5; Rev. 3:12; Rev. 22:14;  Gal 4:7. 
    
Class Activity- Students should mention the kinds of crowns they expect in Heaven and explain what they are doing at present to receive such rewards.
Summary: The above stated crowns and privileges are for faithful believers who endure to the end. They could be obtained if they patiently and faithfully hold on to Christ to the very end.
Conclusion: The  greater we serve Him, the greater our rewards will be. If we serve Him, He will  reward us. Therefore, serve Him diligently.
